Douk -Douk knife

Douk- Douk folding knife , made in France.

Douk Douk it was born to be sold on the markets of New Guinea after the war of 14-18 (the name in fact derives from a deity of Oceania).

This rustic and indestructible knife then found widespread use in Algeria in particular, becoming an indispensable item in the equipment of settler armies.

It is produced in France with the same characteristics as then, including the easily resharpenable carbon steel blade. Even today Pierre Cognet, grandson of the founder Gaston Cognet, produces the Douk -Douk with the same characteristics in the Thiers company.
