The call for the Coot is a double trumpet instrument made of painted beech wood.
The Coot ( Fulica ) is a strictly aquatic bird, with completely black plumage, a white beak and a white spot on the forehead, called the frontal shield. It has a medium-sized body and its main characteristic lies in the shape of its feet which are webbed, making them excellent swimmers.
