Passatellipress : extraordinary tool for quick and easy preparation of the most classic and tasty Romagna recipe: passatelli.
The press is made by a local craftsman, in anodized aluminum (a material notable for its softness, its lightness and its resistance to oxidation), and is made up of three different parts:
1) an upper part formed by a handle, a screw and a disk;
2) a cylinder;
3) a perforated die.
TIPS FOR CORRECT USE OF THE INSTRUMENT:
Correct use of the press: unscrew the upper part (the one formed by the handle, the screw and the disc) by turning counterclockwise until the screw is completely lifted. Insert the dough into the cylinder. Refit the handle with the screw and turn clockwise so that the disc begins to press the dough towards the perforated die from which it will come out in the desired format. Then cut the dough into the desired length with a knife.
TIPS FOR CORRECT CLEANING OF THE INSTRUMENT:
Cleaning the press must be carried out in this way: being made of aluminium, but anodized , your press can be washed in the dishwasher. Simply disassemble it into all its components and insert it into the appropriate spaces in your appliance.
However, we recommend that, once washed and carefully dried, you grease all parts of your instrument (especially the screw!) with olive oil!
With these few precautions your aluminum press will always be kept in good condition.
